Rich in heritage, Hampstead Cemetery was opened in 1876 and is located in West Hampstead.
The grounds are beautifully laid out and it has many fine memorials, especially a large and varied number of Celtic crosses. A butterfly wild flower meadow has been created in the lower right of the grounds.
The cemetery is now closed for new graves as there is no more space available.
However there is a Garden of Remembrance where ashes can be placed within the cemetery which features wooded surrounds, a tranquil setting, privacy and easy access.
The garden features cremated remains sanctums that can accommodate 2 cremated remains urns and features a plaque which can be inscribed with an inscription of your choosing.
