The Islington and Camden Cemetery Service can offer memorial options through Islington Council’s trading company, iCo Ltd.

Islington Ico

There is a wide range of memorial choices available from a memorial tree to an inscription in the Book of Remembrance.

Due to their personal nature we recommend meeting with us to discuss your individual needs. To discuss your needs please call us on 020 7527 8300 or request a call back using our iCo Memorials contact form.

Some of the options are:

Bronze plaque options – Standard

The overall size allowed is 24 x 12 which can consist of one large plaque or two side by side. The plaque sits on a concrete base and is placed in the centre of the grave.

Bronze plaque – small

We also offer a smaller bronze plaque option 6 x 4 available in 3 colour options black, brown & green.

Granite plaques

A granite option is available. Please speak to a member of our team for more details as these are of a bespoke nature.

Cremated Remains Terraces

These are plots with a brick surround which can be personalised by the family, for example by planting flowers within the given area. The cremated remains are buried loose in the ground. Memorialisation can be by either an aluminium plaque or a bronze plaque which lays flat on the ground.

Standard Rose Tree

The cremated remains are buried loose under the rose tree which is leased for an initial ten year period which is renewable. An aluminium plaque only can be added with the details of the deceased.

Memorial Tree

To offer an alternative to the standard rose tree, a number of memorial trees have been planted. The cremated remains are buried loose in the ground adjacent to the tree. An aluminium plaque only can be added with the details of the deceased.

These are made of grey granite and can accommodate two sets of cremated remains. They come with a tablet engraved with an inscription of your choice. It is also possible to have emblems, flowers or motifs engraved on the tablet. These sanctums are leased for a period of ten years and are renewable.

You can dedicate a bench in memory to a loved one. These are made of solid teak, a very durable wood that will give you years of pleasure. The cemetery has reserved spaces specifically for the placement of benches. Please speak to a member of staff who will be happy to go through this with you.
